I have two of these in my tank--I though that they were basket stars until one day I was on wet web. I was researching cucumbers, it seems that they are a type of cucumber that is a filter feeder. They are harmless. They put a hand at a time in their mouth and lick it of. Sorry I didn't write the name down, but if you go there they even have a pic of them.

I would like to know that as well, as I only have a 34 gal tank. Also, will it move around the tank or stay put?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Great ID...Karma to you

The OP should be thankful that it's cucumber and not a basket star or a feather star. I've rescued many Crinoids from starvation. Trust me, a reef tank that you would want to look at will NOT support their food needs.
