    Thanks Bill. And you're right, Magnus, that link does bring up a great match, but...it looks to be a misidentified Phyllidiopsis shireenae. The four black lines at the front, back, and two sides, radiating from the inner black ring is pretty distinctive. P. elegans can look similar but the black line arrangement is more random.

    That info was amazing....but it begs the question: now what? the poor thing will starve in my tank, yet I can't responsibly sucker him off to an unwitting newbie...perhaps he could go into a LFS live rock or frag bin :confused:

    Maybe. Since they don't tend to hide (they are too toxic for almost any reef animal to eat), it might make a reallly cool animal for a small species tank. Go get you a $20 aquarium setup from Walmart and put a couple of your live rocks and a few gallons of the water from your tank, and you'll probably be good to go. And, you'll have something that not many people have in their tanks. You might want to keep it in a room with some ventilation, though :)
