I ordered some coral from Liveaquaria and it was supposed to be here today by 3 p.m. When it didn't show up I called FedEx and they told me it was an hour delay and no later than 4 p.m. Well not it is after four and when I called again they said another hour delay.

My question is, are my coral and clams going to die because of this poor business? (Not Liveaquaria, I am talking about FedEx.)

the order should be ok if within 24 hours, a good option is if you live within driving range of the fedex building , is to put a hold on the package for pick up , once you get the tracking number. fedex's website is easy to use to put in a hold. you have to watch when ordering live stuff now because standard air to a house is 3:00 pm, only prioity air is delievered by 10:30 am

+1 with all the answers above. I have driven to fedex to pick stuff up before same day, not pleasant but may be worth it... If it is out for delivery and you get it today, you can probably get a refund on shipping costs if not there by the guaranteed time (you'll have to work that out with the shipper though).

I think your animals will be fine... what did you order and are expecting? If it's just coral, will probably be ok.

If they are properly packaged, and coming from LA they most likely are, a couple of hours delay is no problem. Remember you also have a 14 day guarantee from LA which includes delivery.

Also, is drip acclimation still the best thing to do since they have been packaged so long?
