Feeding a antennata lionfish

I have a small about 1 1/2 " lion had him for about 3 mouths he eats ghost shrimp really well now he started eat frozen mysid small ones what I want to know is how much should he eat it's hard to get live shrimp hear it's been a week since he had live but eats frozen every day still looks fat and happy have silver sides but they are to big and if it doesn't look real forget it should I worry or not

Your fish doesn't need live food at all. If it's eating mysis now, then you can try a few other things out. However, the first thing I'd do is get yourself a proper feeding stick. By that, I mean that you'll want to make a "stealth stick" so the fish won't be so intimidated by its food or the stick.

Tiny lionfish like yours are lots of fun, but as you're finding out, can be a bit tuff to feed. However, it sounds like you're moving in the right direction, so run with it.

We typically feed our fish 3x a week (M-W-F), but for tiny juvies, you can give them their "regular" feedings as well as a small feeding on the "off" days. Once the fish becomes a sub adult, you can cut back a bit.

He's eat from water clom really well as long as its moving I.e power head still on he stay out in open at feeding time ready to go I try to target feed him but I have to make sure every one else is full as long as he's getting 4 or more mysid "can only get small here" and he likes krill and of course live guppy shrimp I work in Africa so I'm gone 32 days at a time wife dose ok when I'm gone so I hope I can get him eating better in 2more weeks had a fuzzy "red" about 2" had home for awhile longer still haven't found we're he went I just got him eating any ting I put buy him only thing I hate about being away so much I think my mini nem got him I know it took out my Fiji clown but wear the nem at its not coming out any time soon
