Hey thanks for all the comments and info!

He is only small, and i really dont plan on sticking anything in the tank with him. Gonna dress it up with macroalgae and crabs to make it a little more interesting.

I was worried he may starve, but if Jasons lasted 3 weeks without food, hopefully mine will will be alright, and eventually come round!

    cool looking fish....
Might see changes in color of him also depending on what is fed and what you place in the tank...they have some mimicry
Like I said diet rich in HUFA's will see great colors.. One book I saw was a black fish with red spots...after feeding for a couple weeks, fish turned red wtih a few black spots! They had red sponges and stuff in tank.

Has your little guy eaten anything yet? They can go for quite a while without eating...but once they start, you have to take it easy...because of how much waste they produce...My frog-fish liked to hang upside down (as you saw in the pic) He liked to hold onto my mangrove stalks and just wait for the shrimp to come close enough for him to suck them up...do they have glass shrimp at the other pet store? Updates, please!!! I miss my frog-fish now...darn!

We had one in the shop, they really only NEED to eat about once a week but I bet money they were target feeding him. I would take whole frozen krill and put it on a feeding prong. Then I would get it right in his face and when he opened his mouth I would have to shove the krill in, he'd clamp down on it and eat it. They use their lure to get their prey to swim into their mouth, so you have to mimic that when you target feed.

Good luck, he's a beautiful fish.
