Possibly, but it may not be enough in his diet to sustain him. Also, he really needs to be fed at least twice a day.

    What species?

most anthias will ned a good varied frozen diet at first to get them eating good and used to prepared offerings. you can then transition them over to a mixed diet with a high quality flake food.

Did you see the fish eat before you bought it?
fwi, Anthias usually do best in small groups of 3 or more.

when I had my anthias (sold in a tank move), mine would only eat frozen at first and loved cyclopeze. by the end, they did transition over to flake.

Anthias are some of the most beautiful fish in this industry. Unfortunately, they are some of the pickiest eaters.

    Cyclopeeze
    Arcti-Pods
    Frozen brine
    Frozen mysis
Frozen rotifiers (if you can find them)

All of these are excellent foods that anthias love to eat.

One of the tricks to getting them to eat is to put the food in the water right in front of you powerheads. This gets your food to shoot in front of the fish. They tend to react by instinct and snatch the small fast moving foods.

Once you have them eating, it is pretty easy to move them over to a high quality flake. Most pellets are just too big for an anthias.
