No need to feed that often IMO, you can target feed chalices, but it's not required.

I am a huge advocate of feeding my 180 gallon reef. I target feed my LPS corals thawed and rinsed frozen mysis and also feed them New Era Marine Pellets in the evenings when my main lights are off. I keep all my sps corals well fed 2-3 times per week alternating with live baby brine shrimp, frozen cyclops, frozen mysis, Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Phyton and TM Pro-Coral Zooton.

Not more growth necessarily, but it will induce the chalice to grow more eyes, closer in proximity. I have a numerous amount of chalices, and along with broad coral feedings every 3 days, I do spot feed my chalices NLS micro pellets. I try to feed each eye individually, but I have greedy fish, so sometimes they steal the food before the chalice can get it.
