    I currently have

    1 Plate coral
    1 Zoa Cluster
    1 Xenia
    1 Cluster of Polyps

What should I be feeding them? I have been told I should drop half a cube of Cyclops in my tank like every 3 days. And Also give Photo P. 1-2 times a week.

    Any comments?

    Edit:

I know they get most thier energy from the light but how much do I really need to worry about feeding them

As far as the zoas and xenia go you don't have to feed them, The plate coral i am not sure about but if you do feed it I would get an eyedropper and target feed, putting that much cyclopese in the tank at once would probably bring your nitrates and phos up.

Every few months I take some squid & shrimp and put in the blender and run it through the return pump. Kids always eagerly sit in front of the tank to watch the polyps grab a peice. When I am in the tank cleaning coralline of glass or what-have-you I will target feed shrimp & squid

I wouldn't worry about the zoos, xenia or polyp cluster, the plate I would feed at least 3 times a week with something substantial as compared to cyclops. Fish eggs work great because they sink, are easily grabbed/eaten, packed with protein and the fish love them too. Look for capeline roe, ask your LFS to order it or try an Asian food market, just make sure it is free of colors, flavors or MSG...
LPS are more dependent on "food" than other corals and that is exactly why they have LARGE polyps-suited to catch meaty prey.

    Good luck!

Your Plate Coral can be few small chunks of raw shrimp or Squid.. 2 or 3 times a week....
By hand.. Wait till you see his mouth open alittle.. Will be white..
Get a small piece of shrimp/squid.. I use twesers (spelling )..
Carefully place it on his mouth.. DO NOT touch the Plate..
Filters should be off for this.. Keep fish, etc away from it..

This is for the short tentacle Plate coral..

My Solar Orange is doing, and growing really good..

If yours is Long Tentacle, Let someone that knows better than I, tell you how to care for it..

    Good Luck, Larry

    WOW,
I just read your other post ..... How old is your tank..??

Take care of one thing at a time.. You could be over feeding the wrong stuff, I also done the sane thing in the start.... You can stress corals, just as easy as fish.. There's people on here that will help you all your Problems..
Try to learn.. One thing at a time.. Good Luck..

Ok, I start a treatment of red slime in my tank. Today is the last day and it seems that it killed all the cyano. I did a water test today to see what it would read.

I am getting a small cycle I think from killing all of the cyano. It looks like my cycle did not finish because of the cyano is that possible?
