Hi, i recently got a favia brain coral, do i need to feed target feed each polyp? ive read some people do and other people say they don't feed theirs at all, im guessing it might have something to do with the type of favia it is?

up until now I've just been putting some cylopeez upsteam of it every other night when its open.

heres a pic in case the type matters

I don't target feed my favias and favites and they do just fine and are expanding the colonies with whatever is in the water column when they have their feeders out. I think what you are doing will work perfectly.

that is good news, the thought of individually feeding probably 50ish polyps wasn't that appealing, but i was going do it if needed

they dont need to be fed but if you want excellerated growth just drop some brine mysis or cyclopeez when its feeding tenticles are out and it will grow faster. i have a small favia it had about 5 heads after about 3 months it grew to about 9 heads. then i started target feeding it for a month and its up to 15 heads
