One other difference about the pictures on
    http://www.jciaquariums.com/livestock/marine/page_02.htm

The first 2 pictures show a siganus unimaculatus, or one-spot foxface.

The 3rd picture is actually not the same type of foxface, it is a siganus vulpinus. The correct stressed picture should look a bit more like this: (notice the presence of the spot)

Just an observation, as both types exhibit the same behavior. I came quite close to bringing one of these home today, but wound up with something else...another post to come.

    Nice GraviT.
That is what mine used to look like. Sometimes it would even loose more color.

Hey guys. I just dug this thread up as I like to research the fish I have after I have bought them. I have had a foxface before (swam nose first into a powerhead that had been in his tank for over a year) and I just bought a new one yesterday. He is about 2 inches long (tiny) and beautiful. He is already out swimming and picking at the wierd but pretty macro i've got goin on in the sps tank. (don't care how pretty it is, it's gotta go) He is still a little dull because I grabbed him before he was released at the lfs where I work and brought him home. It took him about 2 hours to come out but now he is really hyper and eating like crazy. I think I have found something here. I think the really small ones adapt way faster than the medium, common 3 - 4 inch size you buy. Just a thought.

I love my foxface!! I think it has the most personality, fun to watch, changes colors at night- and mine eats everything- kinda like the dog;D
