This is the first time the Wellso opened up while I was feeding the fish, so I got some good shots. Lighting was a single Blue+ and a blue LED light strip. The first two pictures are from against the glass at 80 ISO.

Now, my camera does not compare in quality to a DSLR, but I could not have taken these last three pictures with one. These were taken in the tank with a Canon D10 on auto ISO. I can't hold still enough with one hand in the tank to use a low ISO. :p

This last one was cropped. All of the other photos were straight off the camera.

Very nice. The mouth looks like that of my elegance and my trachy when feeding. You can see enlargement as well as the serrations. Good job on the pics too! I have no idea what ISO means :).

The ISO is the camera's sensitivity to the light. Higher ISO allows for a faster shutter hence less "blur" but the picture can appear grainy. Lower ISO is the opposite, excellent quality but requires a longer shutter speed.

Great photos btw! What are you feeding it?

    Thanks, man! ;)

Thanks for the definition. The brain has eaten chunks of smelt, tilapia, mysis, Nutramar Ova usually whatever meat the big fish get fed. On this occasion, I wanted to get the Sun corals to open up for feeding, so I basted them with the tiny bits "meat water" I guess you would call it. I had chopped up a scallop super fine and spritzed the corals that I wanted to open with the water before the fish were fed. The Sun corals open up pretty fast, then the brain opened up after a bit, so I gave it some scallops. The pictures were after it had swallowed the meat. It was opened more prior to that.

Great pictures. I need to go get some more open brains, they were some of my favorite.
