I'm curious, when dosing phyto in your tanks, how many of you turn your skimmers off. Wouldn't running a skimmer when dosing phyto remove a lot of what you just put in?

BTW I don't turn my skimmer off and I recommend to our customers to lave their skimmers on. Pump impellers are far t costly then the limited amount of phyto lost to skimming.

Does anyone know if we can feed to much phyto, do this contribute to our bio load if we over feed?

Most definitely you can feed too much. Uneaten food will break down into extra nutrients in your tank. Feed close to or less then the manufacturer states. For Phyto-Feast users that are starting out I say cut our directions in half and build up to a full dose over a month or so.
