My new rics are acclimated and seem to be doing fine, can someone tell me what and how to feed them, I have a sea squirt feeder, should I target feed them with that or do they capture food themselves when I feed the tank? I have phytoplex, frozen mysis shrimp, fozen plankton, clams, silversides, krill, Rods reef food, and flake food. Any suggestions?

squirt some photoplankton above them and they will filter it, i just dump some photoplankton
in my tank every 2 or 3 days and they get it cause they look better and better each day since i started! plus i love ricordias they are coolest of the shrooms in my opinion.

corals don't eat phytoplankton they eat zooplankton, zooplankton eat the phytoplankton. although some phytoplankton like dt's does have some zooplankton in there. try target feeding some oystereggs or something of that nature. i've seen mine capture everything i put in the tank from mysid to flakes.

sorry a little mistake there......same here with the ricordias eatin alot, maybe thats why mine grow pretty fast?
BTW my bottle of chromaplex is all phytoplankton and i says that corals will filter it, and thats what i based my "answer on", but i believ you, the experianced reef keeper, over my newbishness ;)

Ricordea's as well as mushrooms will eat flake/pellet/brine shrimp/and just about anything else you feed the tank.

I use cyclop-eeze, cut off all flow to the tank, target feed them by putting the food on them, and watch them close up on it.Here is a link to some pics right after I fed mineclcop-eeze.

I have a reef blend (my kids and wife have termed "reef barf" from the smell when I blend the mess up) that I've personally blended that includes lots of goodies including: cyclopeeze, reef chili, coral frenzy and reef builder, muscles, shrimp, scallops, silver sides, mysis, nori sheets, formula 1 and 2 pellets, garlic exterme, & selcon. This little blended formula is feed to my fishies 1 to 2x/day. I don't target feed any of my inverts. My fish, inverts and corals go crazy over the stuff. My coral growth is fantastic.
