I'm getting a large rose BTA in a couple weeks - and I'm wondering about feeding. How often, and what, do you feed your BTAs? And what do you think would be good for a (about) 10 inch rose BTA?

I've looked online, but always like to ask here as well! :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Small 1/4 inch pieces of raw seafood you get from the grocery market about once a week. Scallops, fish, shrimp are all good.

Some feed silver sides, you get them at the LFS. I never liked them, seem like it took longer for the anemone to digest.

Watch for undigested pieces being expelled.

If your lighting is sufficient you should not have to feed much. More is not better with anemones that have good lighting IMO, except with larger carpets.

    Thanks!!

I think I'd prefer to feed the shrimp to the silversides...yuck.

    Any other input?

    Upside to the SilverSides

An upside to the Silversides is that the snails and crabs will pick em clean in a hurry. For some reason when one hits the water they all come out for a meal.

I've been using the large chunks that come in Rod's Food. It's almost doubled in size in about 2 months. I generally feed it once a week or every other week.
