Typically I only feed my fish about twice a week, once flakes and the other Marine Blend and or Frozen Brine Shrimp mix. Just picked up a Hi Fin Red Banded Goby (Stonogobiops nematodes) and I'm reading info saying feed them twice daily, where as my LFS says they are very low maintenance fish. The only other live stock I have at the moment is a Ocellaris Clown fish, a cleaner shrimp. and my CuC which consists of Astrea's Ceriths and an Emerald Crab. I also spot feed my corals zoo and phytoplankton blends, the clown likes to munch at the zoo plankton. My corals aren't anything difficult either, just some GSP, Kenya, Hammer, Torch, diff Zoa's, Devils Hand, and some mushrooms.

I'm just really wondering if I'm okay to keep up feeding 2-3x weekly or if I really should be feeding daily. I just added a protein skimmer so I feel safer to increase my weekly feeding if necessary. My tank is only 29g though with low bioload

I feed mine about 3 times a week and try to feed them slowly over a 3 hour period and this seems to work for me. but I would increce my feeding by one extra day and see of it works out better for the fish I dont see what it would hurt ;D

Just searched the forums a few times and found some really good answers to this as far as feeding corals go. Still unsure really on the fish especially with Live Aquaria saying feeding my Hi Fin Red Banded Goby twice a day, which seems a lot to me.

Inwall75 has provided awesome links and threads with detailed information on feeding corals how and when and what types of corals need what types of food down to food size, and time of day :) very nicely done.

I guess I'll boost my feeding regiment up to around 3-4 weekly. Using flakes and Zooplankton as the primary - algae tabs and refrigerated marine blend varieties as the secondary.

hi ashe your phosphate level should tell ya when your feeding to much, and just up the time on your water change to compensate:)

hi billy your doing it by the book just watch phos levels do reg water changes, the fish should eat the algae in a 1 or 2 hour period don't leave it overnight;)
