I'm curious as to how many of you turn your pumps off at feeding time? Just a quick ab-lib survey.

If you could post any actual benefits that you have witnessed? Would be very cool!!

    Thanks!! :jester:

I turn my powerheads of if I am target feeding, Otherwise I like the fish to chase after there food, its more natural for them!

I leave everything running, I don't like to give the food time to settle on the bottom of the tank.

I turn off my skimmer while I feed. IME My Skimmers work better and longer between cleanings beacause of that fact. But I don't turn anything else off.

I leave everything on...though I don't have much flow. Using an airpump and a bubbler to as water movemnt. plus whatever movement I get from my hob power filter. lol I really need to buy some proper equipment.. I only have one fish now though and two cleaner shrimp.

Only if I target feed will I shut the pumps off.
With flake food the fish love chasing the food around (or at least I love watching them do it)

I turn off PH's for 2 minutes. Return pump and skimmer stays on. The benefit I see is that my slower eaters get a chance to get some of the stuff that floats down to the bottom, but it doesn't get a chance to settle before the PH's kick back on.
