Do you do it? Or do you just let the fish waste do the job.

If you do feed them... with what? How often and what is your method?

    Thanks!

I myself do not feed my softies. I do however feed my LPS. I typically feed twice a week. I use bloodworms and mysis. I typically feed with a turkey baster or some songs and just touch the feeding tenticals with the food.

I feed the LPS when I remember to. I feed a mix of meaty foods. I shut off the flow and feed the coral when they are open with their feeder tentacles out.

I feed my LPS weekly. I mix the diet between Mysis, Brine and Cyclopeeze. I use a really ling turkey baster. I will also feed when the tentacles are out to some (favites and brains), but to blastomussa, duncans, acans...who's feeders are always out, I just squirt in their general direction, and watch the mouths open and accept food. My pesky little wrasse has become exeedingly aggressive by taking food away from some of them. I will also spray some of my paly's and rics with a mix of phyto, zoo, and cyclopeeze at the same time...with mixed results there.

I feed my LPS Mysis and Cyclopeze once each weekly along with phyto once a week. I target feed with a turkey baster and with the pheads off. Since I also feed my fish every other day pellets and flake I think they get some of that floating around also. ;)

I use coral frenzy once every other week. When I change the pre filter blue pad I wring it out in the return chamber (not allowing the large detritus to get out). I also add Replenish by Brightwell. I also occasionally stir up the sump and let the return create "marine snow".

I hand feed every coral in my tank every 3-5 days. I use mysis, brine, and silversides.

Tedious task to feed 300+ polyps LOL

Ok, so how about turning off power heads and the skimmer or are you guys running them?

I turn mine off for about an hour during and after feeding. ;)

Hmmmm, I have seen/heard mixed reviews on this. Some swear turning off the skimmer is what you do when feeding and some believe you should never turn it off.
