I will set the camera first thing tomorrow when the lights come on. Thanks for the camera help IBMGeek.

Aw BaxterS80, that wouldve been great! Did you add the cherub last to the tank? I think I made a real big mistake, getting her first before I finished getting the other fish I wanted.

I moved some corals around. I was thinking, since its going to be a mixed reef, I should have SPS, LPS, and softies all mixed together on different islands instead of have SPS on one side and all the LPS and softies on the other side. Trimmed some of the plants in the back, added another piece of live rock in the back. Heres a FTS

BTW, Thanks again IBM. I dont think you should delete, it may come in handy for someone else that may have the same camera as me.

^^ Thanks guys! I picked up a black cap basslet yesterday. I did take pictures but my brother took the camera, so I will update you guys with pictures ASAP. She did come out today and eat Rod's Food.

BTW this MIGHT be my last addition of fish to the tank. I didnt really planned this out but the fish that I currently have are all from the Carribean except the clownfish and yashia goby.

Here you guys go, sorry for the long wait. Pictures of the black cap basslet.

She has acclimated really well to the tank. As you can see from the pictures, she really likes the camera, haha. Occasionally she would be a little shy and bolt like a firefish back to her hole but usually shes always out in the back of the tank waiting for food.

Does anyone know what of algae this is?

Its brown and looks like diatoms with a mix of cyanobacteria, but my cycle has been over for over 2 months already. I top off only with RO/DI water. Its mostly in the front of the back and in the middle where the trench is, and those are the areas with the most flow. Could it be the plastic from the DIY sump/wet and dry. I just recently added a skimmer too.

Your algae looks like dinoflagellates. Treat it the same as you would cyano :)

Hey guys! Sorry that I havent been updating you guys lately, been really busy with relatives over. Well heres an update on the tank.

Just finished battling the dinoflagellat outbreak not too long ago. Now I'm battling red cyano-bacteria.

Source: Me being a sucker to see the tang eat :-[

Purchased a Bangaii Cardinal and the LFS gave me the Blue Hippo tang  ;D
The bangaii is my third one and this one was a success. The last two was from a LFS that I will never go to again. This current bangaii is from a trusted LFS.

The tang was perfectly fine the first day, but since I have little cousins that like to bang on the tank to see "Dory" she has ich :(. Luckily I purchased some of Rod's Food awhile ago and that stuff is AMAZING! High protien meaty foods blended with Nori and garlic. She is really fat, which is a really good sign, and she doesnt even try to scratch off the ich on the rocks. Hopefully she never does.

Well I know the tang isnt going to last long in the tank, once it outgrows in the tank (maybe in 2-3 months), shes either going back to the LFS of a friends 100g.

I should stop talking now and get on with the pictures. Enjoy!
