I do a water change & test my calcium & salinity once a week. I also clean the media in the discarded water @ every water change. How long will the charcoal be effective. It is a bit of a disappointment. @ one time my water was so crystal clear, you wouldn't know it was there. Despite all my efforts, I can't get that back again. Would 2 water changes a week help ?

I feed my Acan Lords twice a week, actinic light on 12-16hrs 12k 4-6 hrs. I can see new polyps popping out every month. I'm cutting back on feeding to 1-2 times a month and will be dosing Ca and Mg instead in order to let skeleton grow.
