    Thanks Magnus,

The camera is a Canon 1000D or Rebel XT as I think it's called in the States. So it's only a basic entry level camera. With a 55-250mm Telephoto lens. Hoping to get a Canon 7D in a few months.

Here are couple more of the crocs:

Well I got my 7D for Christmas, but haven't had time to use it in anger. But I did start playing with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. It involves taking 3 images, one normal exposure, one over exposed and another under exposed. Then merging the 3 together to get some pretty cool results, all the images below are photographs.

This was done using HDR but I didn't take the process to the extreme as I did the previous images:

If you click on the "IMG_4467" under the last image, you can see the images in a larger format as well as others I have taken, should you be interested :)

Me too, it's a mixed bag though, people either love it or they hate it. I personally like the effect. These are my first attempts with my old 1000D, but I am looking for subjects to try out with my new 7D :)

    Thank you.

I did try it with a single image, the peacock from the previous page, it was somewhat successful. I had to make an under exposed and over exposed image from the original as I only had the single shot:
