Last week I noticed the main eye ball of the conch seemed smaller than it usually is typically being very human like... well the past few days he has been just laying underneath the sand not moving very much and it has me a little concerned. Everything else in the tank appears to be doing well so I'm not really sure what he might be going through. Could anybody shed some insight on this for me please?

I wouldn't worry to much. My conch sits in one spot for days on end, sometimes up to a week. The only way I know he's alive is that it's usually in a spot close to the glass and I see his trunk working the sand right below the shell.

+1 i know this is old but you were right. he likes to just stay under the sand sometimes for a few days on end. his eye ball eventually healed back up to its original beauty. not sure what happened, maybe my occy clown nipped him in the eye one day.
