I had a male blue devil that was smaller than anything else and he picked on fish untill they died I would not keep them I had to go through a lot of trouble trying to trap mine when I realized my mistake you will never be able to add any peaceful fish the damsels will torture them. Mine cost me a lot of money before I made the move and got them out luckily my LFS took them back on credit.

I actually miss the damsels too very hearty, very active ,and nice blue color but absolute terrors to anyone and everything you add to the tank from now on they will bully the any clown you add (except maybe a large Maroon) and you will never be able to add a peaceful fish for example a Mandarin forget about it. Mine had actually ripped the entire tail off of my mandarin before I got it out the mandarin has since healed.

Damsels, the spawn of the DEVIL! But as you can tell it is the luck of the draw! I have a three spot that lives very peacefully
alongside six line a GS Maroon clown. The really funny thing is Clowns are just damsels in disguise!

I have 2 yellow tail blue damsels, and they aren't as bad some of the others I read about. One bullied the yellow tang the first day it was added to the tank, but that was it. They never bothered any other fish, and the 2 damsels were also the first ones in the tank. Moving the LR around to create new territories does work. I just didn't do it when I added the yellow tang, and had only 1 day of fighting, that was it. They just need to establish their own pecking order in the tank, and let nature take its course.

Omard is gonna jump on me for this, but imho, the only good damsel fish is a dead damsel fish, the are just out and out mean. Omard has had good luck with them, but the ones I had were a&& holes.
