Hey everyone. I got my LS in today but there is a problem. I had ordered 5-20 Lbs bags of Caribsea Fiji Pink. However, I got 3 bags of the Fiji Pink and 2 bags of the Bahamas Oolite. I went to the Caribsea website and the only difference between them both according to the website is the Average large grain size. The Fiji has a 1.5mm average while the Oolite has a 1.0mm average. Everything else is the same including the average small grain size.

My main concern is.....will there be a problem with me mixing these up? I don't see why but I wanted to get some input first:confused:

There should be no problem with mixing them. Maybe you will get a better diversity of bacteria, etc. in both sands.

That's good enough for me. Thanks a bunch. I really didn't want to go through the mess of sending it all back.

As far as I know your better off with many different sized grains in your sand, help keep it from compacting. I have multiple brands and sizes in all of my tanks from super fine to Medium sized crushed coral.
