Film on the Surface?

I have a thin film build up on my surface and need some advice. I have a Prism skimmer which yes I will be getting a better one shortly. The skiimer is not working very good at all It has been on there for a month without ever having a full cup of skimmate. My question is: I have a Hydor #1 sitting right next to the Surface Skimmer part. Should it not be placed here due to the fact that it is pushing the surface away from the skimmer?
You can see the 2 power heads in the 2 corners and the skimmer tube.

 

You answered your own question. Move either the skimmer or the Hydor.

 

OK well thought so but now the other one. Where do I place it? Should I just place it on the other side next to the other one?

Either that or re-aim the Hydor Korallia. Depending on the setup, you might even need to move a rock or two.

 

Ok well I put it in the front right corner crossing the path of the other one and I still have another PH going behind the rocks so we will c what happens here. Thanks for your help.
