I have a thin film build up on my surface and need some advice. I have a Prism skimmer which yes I will be getting a better one shortly. The skiimer is not working very good at all It has been on there for a month without ever having a full cup of skimmate. My question is: I have a Hydor #1 sitting right next to the Surface Skimmer part. Should it not be placed here due to the fact that it is pushing the surface away from the skimmer? [IMG]
You can see the 2 power heads in the 2 corners and the skimmer tube.

You answered your own question. Move either the skimmer or the Hydor.

OK well thought so but now the other one. Where do I place it? Should I just place it on the other side next to the other one?

Thanks. The thread where I finally changed my avatar was even funnier.

Either that or re-aim the Hydor Korallia. Depending on the setup, you might even need to move a rock or two.
