Hey guys I was wondering is filter floss beneficial? And do I need to rinse it before I use it?Also how often does it need replacing?

I use it for a quick fix if there's particles in my water, pop it in my HOB fuge for an hour or so until the water is clear and then throw it away. I wouldn't keep it in there, it can become a nitrate factory pretty quick with the crap it can catch.

Personally, I run it all the time. But I also change it every other day, or if it looks like it is collecting a lot of garbage. Nitrates always remain 0

I leave mine in all the time & change monthly. Helps keep the large particales from gunking up my bags of chemi pure elite.

I changed mine out every other week or so. How often really depends on your bio load :)

    Twice a month

Agree with twice a month change with water change's . And once a week rince in clean SW, i like using prefilter's and both DT and sumps/refugiums work well with them as long as they are kept up.

    Good luck with your choice8)
