Filter in Reef Tank

No, coral lifes are good, but in our sugestion, we have found very good performance with the aqua c skimmers. Yeah, it might be double the cost of a coral life skimmer, but like the phrase say, you get what you pay for.

Talking a lil about the Nova t5, i sugest you place a thread under the lighting section with your question, but to briefly address your doubt, nova has a downfall, it has one reflector for all the bulbs, while tek and aquatinics have a reflector per bulb.

 

I just can't see you getting much out of a $90 skimmer. Remora is a good brand but there are many others out there.

Turbo is right about the lights. The nova fixture only uses one big reflector for all the bulb, you loose too much output with this configuration. T5s are only really good if you have good individual reflectors. I have also heard good reviews about the aquac skimmers especially about the remora for the price. I opted for a reef octopus though.
