Filter options for my 29 gal

So continuing the conversation I started with "Night-Rida" in the say hello categorie... I have a 29 gallon Tank that currently has about 30 lbs of live rock Im using a cheapo 30-60 gal rated hang on filter. I have a single power head just to create some current and surface agitation. There is an azure Damsel to keep my bio filtration happy, and a pepper mint shimp for the few Aiptasia that hitched a ride to my tank on a new piece of rock.
So, my current situation and location does not allow me to do any plumbing to the tank. I was wandering about Bak Pak filters what all bio filtration options i have and how well a hang on canister filter would work.

Im open to suggestions and feed back if anyone has had experience with these types of filters.
