Filter Question

    Im just starting my 35 G hexagon tank and am having the same problem with 2 HOB filters i have, it seems the little magnetic thing that spins to create suction will not spin properly so it will not suck any water and nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this problem? or know how to fix it? I believe one model is a Millenium 2000. Any help?

    You might be better off running a caniser filter, or even a sump.

    +1 on the sump. Provides much more room for all your equipment and additional water volume.

    Yea i know, but right now im trying to work with what ive got and not spend much more money. So im trying to fix these that i have.

    the i had the millinium its kinda pointless having it you have to take out all the media anyway i only used in the begining when i was running carbon but since then have not ran carbon i have a fluval canister now and its works far more better

    Your gonna have to dis-assemble the pump and see if the impeller is dirty or worn. While your there, you might as well clean the impeller housing too. Luna

    nevermind... thanks to all. I got it working. Seems that there was some wear on it and it had to be superglued. works perfectly now.
