I currently have a sump for my 55. I am getting ready to set up a 120. The 120 has been freshwater and I have just used HOB filters. My question is is there a good filter I can use w/o having to drill the tank. I can get the tank drilled if I need to I just wanted to avoid it b/c it is so heavy and a hassle to transport. Thanks for any advise, Jamie.

Well, honestly, with something as big and nice as a 120, your going to want it drilled anyways for the sump/fuge. It's a much nicer way of doing things.
But that being said, any of the nicer canister filters (ehiem, hagen, fluval and the like) will work without having to drill.

That's what I thought. My LFS has a plastic box that hangs on the back of their 120 and I guess runs on suction and drains into a sump. Dose anyone know what this is called?

That is the overflow box that hangs on the back of a tank and it is used by suction, most people dont like these cause you can lose suction if the u-tube is pulled up or blocked. It seems to be a hassle to get a tank drilled, but for the money you will spend on the overflow box you should think about having the tank drilled while its tore down. I have both setups on a few tanks. And the drilled is much quieter and I worry less about it.
