    Just done water change tonight and did the 6month bottom sponge rinse.found these all over the bottom two sponges..never seen b4. They didn't move and looked like ant eggs or mini cocoons? ? I rinsed them away just in case

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Pineapple sponges. Commonly found in the cryptic/dark areas of the tank and sump. Numbers usually dwindle as the tank ages. Harmless.
