filters

hi all can any1 suggest a good hang on back filter for a 10gallon quarantine tank, i also live in the uk and need a UK AC Adapter, if any1 could help with this, it would be a big help ;D

 

hagen aquaclear models are available in the UK which are hang on back and reasonable units IME

or you could go cannister under the tank, in which case Fluval models are available in UK and they are the business IME

For a 10 gallon that looks like a reasonable unit - its rated at 60 plus UK gallons per hour , which is not a bad turnover rate

in a quarantine tank , you need to remove the carbon if you are treating with any medications ( the carbon will remove the meds)

cheers steve for the info when i remove the carbon filter to medicate can i just put it back in once finished or should i just leave it out all together, plus should i cycle the tank with the carbon in or not
