I know I started a thread like this a few weeks ago but I couldn't find it.:( sorry...

Anyways here what I think to be, the ultimate stock for my biocube 29 reef. How does it look?

    1 occ clown
    1 bangaii cardinal
    1 YWG
    1 royal gramma
    (in order of addition)

    Thanks.:)

I would add the clown last. IMOPE, they can become quite aggressive toward new tankmates. Other than that, looks good. :)

I agree, I'd add it from first to last like this ....
    1 YWG
    1 Banggai cardinalfish
    1 royal gramma
    1 occelaris clownfish
    HTH:)

I like everything except the Cardinal. Might be a little too large and shy for a 29.

Do you guys think it would be possible to add a really small clown first? If it's a bad idea I won't do it buy I really wanted a clown...

IME the gramma will be the meanest of those fish. so best of wishes if you add that before another fish.

What about a blue reef chromis instead of the bangaii?

While it's entirely possible to find a rogue with any species, I believe in too many cases the royal gramma gets confused with the bicolor dottyback, which is quite similar in appearance. This is quite unfortunate for the basslet as they are far more peaceful than the pseudochromis.
