Finally a real fuge built

I just finished painting th new set-up. Here's some pictures of it before paint:

 

YAY!! I love your angled baffles. Great design.

 

Thank you. Now that it's done I definitely think angled baffles are the way to go. The flow dynamics are just so much better with angled geometry. Much less turbulence this way. I think there's going to be a lot of people building angled baffle sumps after they see this

I do agree. And I meant baffles. I don't know why, but I'm obsessed with calling them ballasts. It's really annoying. lol

Anyway, I definitely agree. You (and me shhhh) are really on to something!

 

I'm getting excited too. Wait tell you see the sweet paint job on this bad boy. Ghost flames and pin striping!

Here's the sweet paint job. The left opening is the water level window. Hard to see in the picture, but there is a water level line painted on. The middle and right windows are the two fuge chambers.
