So he won't detach like the LFS told me? I thought he would eventually move and find a spot on the rock and i'd throw the little disk he's on away

I usually just take a pair of scissors and cut the algae off. Just make sure you don't cut the yuma! haha

This will probably not move off the plug it is not like an anenome it is from the mushroom family. As others have mentioned the algae is going to be a bother for it and it should be oriented under a ledge or perpindicular to the light not flat.;)

The Yuma looks good! its slowly growing and opens up nice since removing the algae. Should I remove it from the plug? if so how do i do so? i've read these bad boys are glued down? I never new that glue was used I don't want to hurt it by ripping it off... any advice fellas?

Glue the plug to the rock and let the yuma do what it wants. You could remove some of the plug from around the foot.

My Yuma seems to have shrunk? The water parameters are fine, the temp seemed to drop 1 1/2 degrees not sure why....I took the algae garden off and it opened up beautifully it was covering about 3/4ths of the plug! but today it looked as if I had just bought it.... any ideas? its vertical, doesn't get direct light, and it just closed up for the night smaller then usual!
