Finally added skimmer

I started my tank 2 months ago and my neighbor gave me a power head heater and a skimmer to get me started. I dismally added the skimmer to my center chamber in the rear of my 24 nano cube. Will this take a while to produce skimmate? Also I am hoping I have the air pressure tuned properly! Not really sure on the process of this as I am new to this. It is hanging on a clip and is filled/submerged in water and is producing bubbles but no skim yet

 

What do you have in the tank as far as fish and inverts?

 

I have 5 turbo snail, 5 nasirius snail, 2 emerald crab, 5 hermit crab all cuc and I have 6 different corals. I started with all live rock and live sand and water from LFS.

 

No fish yet! I want tank to be a little more established before I add fish so I can maybe not lose any

 

Oh ok, well then you won't see very much anyways. Likely the skimmer is being broken in if it was cleaned well before you installed it. What kind of skimmer is it?
