;D After trying for months to catch an aggresive, Yellow Damsel from my 65 gallon reef tank I finally had luck! I first tried feeding my fish out of a net and this worked for every fish in my tank, but the one I wanted to catch. I then tried a fish trap and this also worked for every fish, but the one I wanted. I then tried a baited tiny fish hook and the devil kept getting the food off the hook. After all this I went with my last resort, I drained the tank into a garbage can leaving all rock work and coral in place (low tide). I made a low spot in the sand and pumped the water out. This brought all fish to the low spot including the yellow damsel. I was very happy to remove this guy. I then pumped the water back in (the whole process took 30min) with no damage. Thought I would share this for anyone elso who has had a sneaky smart fish that they could not catch!

I had to do this exact same thing to remove a yellow damsel. She was absolute evil! Nice job getting it done.

Congrats! Haha that's crazy going through all of that to get one little fish, but I understand, those things are faaaast! My dad has used the hook method plenty times on his 75g, seeing as he is a guide fisherman. He enjoys it a little too much:rolleyes3

Corals can tolerate being out of the water for such a short period.

The whole process took less than 30 minutes. It makes you nervous leaving the coral, but I am happy to say they are all fine a week later. I am not sure how long they could go, but you need to be fast enough so they do not dry out.

Good for you, I had the same problem but after harrassing him so much he died from ick--so glad this didn't spread through my tank. All my dwellers are happy campers and so am I.
