In the last 3 days, I finally took the leap and drilled into some of my rock/fiji branches to come up with an arrangement in my Solana cube tank. I tried the clay epoxy a few weeks ago and was disappointed when my first try at it came apart. I even tried a reef safe glue & was disappointed when the two pieces of branches came apart (the branch was originally 1 piece until I dropped it). I decided to give the drilling a try using the skinny plastic supports between the sections and so far so good. I was surprised how easy it was.

I used pvc pipes and surprisingly enough the JD water weld, is AWESOME, i too had tried to use aquarium epoxy and no dice, but JD water weld has held great on the structure i built just let it sit 24hrs before you put it in your tank!!

Don't mean to get of course here, but what type of drill bit did you use?

The epoxy glue I bought came with a masonry drill bit. I believe it is a 1/4", as the plastic stakes that came with the glue are 1/4" as well.
