aT LAST I FINALLY CAUGHT THE CRAB OUTSIDE ITS HOLE! YAY BUT LOOKING AT IT I THINK ITS A BIG BAD CRAB AS IT LOOKS SO SCARY! CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A NAME?

I don't know what it is, but it looks as if it has blunt tipped claws--if so it would be an algae eater. I would still keep an eye on it and if it became too aggressive, I would remove it.

 

it almost looks like red boxing crab (Its shape ) but ill keep looking

 

The only other guess i have is its a mud crab

 

I keep looking on google but just cant find out what it is and its driving me crazy. I have been storkin it for 2 weeks tryin to get a good picture but it seems no one really knows what the little mite is!

Looks like a rock crab. No crab should be trusted. ALL crabs are oppurtunistic feeders.

Agreed, but that doesn't mean you can't keep them. Just don't trust them Keep an eye on it, if it kills things you don't want it to kill, make yourself some yummy crab legs. :

 

You may not know until after it kills your favorite thing. Then its too late. I had emerald crabs years ago until I caught one eating my black Abalone's. If they can catch it, they will eat it.
