    aT LAST I FINALLY CAUGHT THE CRAB OUTSIDE ITS HOLE! YAY BUT LOOKING AT IT I THINK ITS A BIG BAD CRAB AS IT LOOKS SO SCARY! CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A NAME?

    I live on the Nature coast of Fl
    I don't know what it is, but it looks as if it has blunt tipped claws--if so it would be an algae eater. I would still keep an eye on it and if it became too aggressive, I would remove it.

    it almost looks like red boxing crab (Its shape ) but ill keep looking

    I keep looking on google but just cant find out what it is and its driving me crazy. I have been storkin it for 2 weeks tryin to get a good picture but it seems no one really knows what the little mite is!:confused:

    Looks like a rock crab. No crab should be trusted. ALL crabs are oppurtunistic feeders.

    Agreed, but that doesn't mean you can't keep them. Just don't trust them :p Keep an eye on it, if it kills things you don't want it to kill, make yourself some yummy crab legs. ::)

    You may not know until after it kills your favorite thing. Then its too late. I had emerald crabs years ago until I caught one eating my black Abalone's. If they can catch it, they will eat it.
