    actually either is fine to say. The term host which is in reference to your montipora is acting as the host. But also it is the clowns choosing to host there.
    I.e. its not the coral or nem that chooses which fish to be hosted by it, it is the fish's choice of where it wants to host.

    The host can be a noun in reference to the person or thing acting as the host.
    It can also be a verb used like i will host the party at my house this weekend.

    So why do we snap at people when they write it as if using the word host as a verb.

    Beautiful Clowns, they will grow to be fine specimens in your tank congrats.

    Nice Eric! My favorite clowns as well.

    Vinny is the clown host/reside police.

    Clowns reside in their host. ie - your clowns are residing in the monti; the monit is hosting them. :p

    Ah, but your grammatical error/assumption resides in your example (pun intended). :p

    You may host a party at your house, correct. The party did NOT host your house however.
