Thread moved to the chemistry forum.

7.8 might not be a big deal. Were the lights on when you took the water sample? Was the water sealed for a long time in a container?

For starters, caps lock is so YELL.

Your parameters are ok. A pH of 7.8 isn't that far out of whack. It also depends on when you took the sample. pH tends to fluctuate with regards to lights on or lights off, in accordance with whether corals are photosynthesizing (although in your case, during a cycle I imagine your tank doesn't contain a heavy coral load). When they're photosynthesizing, they're adding O2 to the water, and consuming CO2, meaning, pH will go up. During the day, pH will go down. These fluctuations are normal.

Aim for 8.1 to 8.3 for a coral tank.

If you watch other parameters such as Alkalinity, Magnesium and Calcium, and keep these three where they belong, your pH for the most part will take care of itself.

    Good luck!! :)

I had the same problem; The lfs guy suggested ph rock in my sump. He didnt carry it, but special orded it for me. We split the cost (the guy rocks) so he could have some for his display tank. Be nice to your lfs guy and talk to him alot. you wouldn't belive the discounts I get.

You could stop typing in all caps for one.

Then you could go out, purchase some saltwater, and do a 15% water change. You could also go out and purchase some buffer from Kent Marine or any number of other manufacturers. What is the specific gravity/salinity of your water?
