Went with the BRS reactor. I picked this reactor because of how easy it is to change the media. The only thing that sucks is I don't have a sump and this isn't one that is set up to hang on the tank. So I had to mount this thing onto drywall and that was a pain. First I need drywall skrews that would hold the thing, when I found those I noticed that it didn't sit flush to the wall. It needs to come with some kind of plastic adjusting screw, but it didn't, so I used a rubber bumper used for a door stop.

But finally got it running. I did some research and found that it is wisee to start with small amounts of GFO and work up so it doesn't shock the system. I went with 1 tablespoon per 20 gallons. Is this correct?

Yes. You want to start slow. Any drastic changes can do more harm then good even if those changes are to the systems benefit. I love my BRS reactors. You will want to make sure if installing these on drywall you have either a-screwed them into a stud or b-Use a proper drywall anchor.;)
Heres a good calculator to use in determining the ammount of GFO to use on your tank.
