I took a full load of classes, and worked full time for the college IT department as the telecom tech and assistant network admin. I was on call 24/7, worked 40+ hour weeks, plus took a full load of classes and still found time to party and get good grades. I remember those days. Buckle up dude, you'll get it done. No sympathy, life doesn't get easier.

I loved the way Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Monetary Theory classes handled finals. If after turning in all prior tests, papers, etc through the semester you had an A, you got to "opt out" of the final. It definitely made things easier.

All any student needs to know is time management. If you can do that, you'll succeed.

Yeah. Looking back, I truly don't know how I handled it. I worked around 50 hours a week, had 15 credit hours a semester, and ran a youth group for teens. That was easily another 10~15 hours a week of volunteer time. I don't think I watched an hour of TV in 4 years.

Yea, looking back, there was a lot of "extra" time that was wasted. What gets on my nerves is when my classmate would complain about a paper or test, but then wait until the last minute to do it. I was always one to get my work done sooner rather then later, much less stress that way.

I'm taking five 4000 level classes during my final semester at USF, and at the beginning of the semester it looked like finals were going to suck. Well I just found out this week that 2 of my teachers aren't going to hold finals at all, 2 of them are going to have open-note web-based tests, and the final teacher is going to have a 1 week take home test. Should be a cakewalk! The only other sucky thing I have to do is give a 30 minute presentation on my Capsim Simulation for my Strategic Management class.

You have to present something for a freakin' half hour??? Good god that sounds awful.

Well, my 2 awful finals are over :) I'm actually pretty satisfied with both as well. Hoping for A's or B's in the classes. I still have a paper and a history final (world civ, from beginnin of humanity to about year 1000 AD/CE. i had that junk in highschool. easy peasy.)

So I'm turning my brain off for about a week. We have a take home calculus test, and then our calculus final is just a small test on integrals and only integrals, so I'm not worried. Take home means I don't have to study and I can just plug and chug as I go :) And integrals will take some studying to get all the integration rules in my head and stuff, but that's only one aspect of calculus. So hooray for me :)

Yes Finals suck. But I would take Finals every week instead of banging my head against the wall trying to find new employment.

You want stress? Try a decent sized mortgage, on unemployment, with all the other bills associated, and looking for work for over a year.

Pass me some college Finals please:)
