i have a POS sea clone (picked it up for 10 dollars so wat can i say).
but i just did some mods to it and it is defiantly working better now, my question is do you want the bubbles to overflow into the collection cup or do you want them to just come to the rim and then pop?

usually you want the bubbles to be at the bottom of the neck and as the protein collects the bubbles slowly rise and fill the collection cup

To answer your question, just like any other protein skimmer, you want to set the bubble level for some point below the top of the tube where the bubbles spill over (the rim) and become captive in the collection cup. Only your experience will tell you what point that is for your particular skimmer. For some, this level is below the cup itself, for others it's somewhere within the cup. It also depends upon whether you're trying to wet skim, or dry skim.

You don't want the bubble level to be AT the very top of the tube, though.
