Well I finished setting up my fuge, got the hang on fuge as a freebie, made the led light for fuge out of left overs from work for free. Ordered 500grams of live sand to seed it, got porous reef balls as a pod pile and finally got 3 types of macro- caulerpa brachypus, caluerpa serrulata, and codium or dead mans fingers I beleive.
Total cost - $20 for macro, $40 for pump, $20 for sand and reef balls.. So total cost is $80 Australian dollars
will try to post picks tomorrow sometime

one question will these macros coexist or will one outgrow the others?

alright well here are the pics i promised of my newly setup refugium, its only small cos i didnt have much room to work with, its a reef octopus 18" hang refugium, holds approx 12 litres. and my led light i built that i am trying out, if it doesnt work ill just get a daylight globe from hardware store i suppose.

Looks good and dont worry, the macros will fill up the space. Make a log of your paras so you can see how well the refug works.

yea i wrote down parametres and im actually goin on holidays for a week so ill check them when i get back and see if its made any difference..yea i figured they would grow and completely fill that space eventually, how often do you prune them back? just wait till theyve filled the entire fuge than take half of it out or somethin like that?
i have a feeling the caulerpa brachypus is gonna overgrow the other 2 tho, because codium is supposed to be slow growing isnt it?
also which of these can i feed to my tangs?

I only have cheato and mangroves and the cheato gets trimmed like once a month or so. I like cheato better b/c if you needed to, you can have the refug light on 24/7 without it going asexual.
