    Hi,

I got a ORA fire clownfish last week from saltwaterfish.com and although he/she seems healthy, eats everyday, it hides constantly for about 8 days now. I do not have any other fish, only a few snails and hermits.

I realize it needs more fish activity in the tank to feel safe. I want another Fire Clown, however like I said, I ordered it online. My LFS's rarely get Fire Clowns in stock and I like the idea of having it tank raised to avoid hurting our oceans. I do realize it is supposed to be semi-aggressive, but it's acting more scared than any fish I have previously owned.

Can anyone recommend a small fish (45gal.) to add to help this clown out?
I want another Fire Clown however I would have to order it and I could not be certain of it's size.

Firefish? They look neat and don't bother any other fish.

Firefish would be a good idea. I'd personally get a purple one to have a larger variety of color.

If you could find a dwarf lionfish they are pretty cool too, though you have to (or should) wear thick gloves when messing with the tank then.

If you are set on only tank raised fish, there are few options other than clowns and they are all rather expensive.
