Firefish gobys

    :confused:What is the deal? I bought 4 Firefish two red two purple, now i only can find two fish one of each, and i looked every where in and out of my tank! Do these fish hide in the sand like wrasses?:confused:

    Firefish goby? Or the dartfish firefish?

    I do have lots of rocks and i was told they are firefish gobys..

    they do hide when first introduced BUT usually come out once the lights go on. It could be an issue with one bullying another causing the one to hide. if this is the case, get rid of one of each and you should be fine

    +1 while the tank is dark they are well hide, and also depend on what other fish you have with them, they are good community fish except with their own.

    the experance i have had with them new to the tank is they hide... and hide well they do.... Put some flake food in there and wait a few they "should" come out if hungry

    Yeah I have a pair of clownfish that think they own the tank (they don't, I do ;)) and I just introduced a firefish... They chase him every once in awhile and when he gets stressed he dips into his dart hole...

    When food is put into the tank he comes out and eats...

    I also hear after some time (when they get comfortable) they will come out and be social...

    Give it some time and I'm sure you'll see the others :)
