Firefish owners, have you noticed......

Have you noticed that your firefish are NEAT FREAKS?!?!?

I have had my 3 for only a week now but they are neat freaks big time...

For example, I put 2 of them into my bio cube and 1 into my main display. The two in the bio cube keep "cleaning" things.. I'm serious, my shrimp molted today and they took it's "molt" and put it in the back of the fish tank where i have my chaeto growing.. They are also picking up small "bits" off the rock and putting it in the back with the chaeto.

it's been collecting the small bits of chaeto that are floating around the tank and putting them down by the hammer head .. Also taking anything it can find floating and putting it an area where it's not going to cause a issue..

At first, I was laughing.. But I have been watching them for 3 hours now and I'm a bit worried that they are living a "stressed life" lol ...

my fire fish is a bit of a sleeper. he will come out for about 7 hours a day and some times go back for naps in his cave house. Once and a while will take a lap around the tank. What a bum

 

My purple firefish spends pretty much all of his time just hanging out in the current and waiting for little bits to come by so he can taste them to see if they're food. He occasionally strays outside of his 8 inch cube of territory in the tank. He rarely touches anything in the tank except food or his little cave in the rocks at least that I can see. I was concerned that my firefish was having a stressed life because he doesn't do much except sit there in the current, but I've heard that's what they do.

I dunno really...

 

i have 2 purple and 1 red and they swim in the middle of the tank and just chill most of the time - never seen them CLEANING anything before!! That is so cool!

 

Mating behavior possibly? Don't know anything about it, just throwing it out there.

 

my purple thought he was one of my clowns, so no he never did any cleaning, lazy fish. They just sat in the current all day, the firefish napped alot too.
mabye you maid firefish, its a new genticly modifed firefish that helps keep the tank in order. They have been working on it for years...you didnt hear?
seriouly, IMO it does sound like a type of mating behavior too, but the werid thing about that is that the lone firefish doing it too, he could be confused... either way its kinda werid that they are doing that
