I've heard lots of these anemones ship that way, that's part of the reason they can be tricky, they don't ship well. Good luck.

Looking really good. Hope it works out well. Give it some time to settle in.

    Beautiful color!!

Was your tank born in October 2009, or April 2009?

I would say if your anemone makes it through the shipping it wont be "Happy" with this lighting. I know of h.mags at the top of tanks directly under ONE 400wt mh lights and they still seem to not get enough light. The atinics dont do anything for the nem, dont count that into your wattage factor. Should of done a bit more research, but i wish you the best of luck!! Cant wait to see continued updated pics.

    Thanks! October 2009.

Yea I know it is on the low end of lighting, but light, although very important, isn't the only factor in an anemones heath. Water quality, and element levels all play a vital part too. I have heard several success stories about 175w lighting though, so we'll see. I'll be watching it, maybe upgrade lighting down the road.

In everyones experience, how fast does your anemone move/drift around in your tank? Just wondering so I'll know what to expect if it does start moving.

Day 5, so far so good! Sunday night it closed up pretty good, but Monday morning it was open bigger and better looking than before! Hasn't moved yet, but slightly repositioned itself on the rock its on.

    Video was from last night.

I've had a carpet anemone moving around my tank like crazy throwing down everything until about a week when it found somewhere it liked.

    Video link not working.
