first attempt at diy ato

    I had a sump on my 29, but I took it off line because I was only running a skimmer and am now running it in the display.

    Part of my problem is my 10g will be in a dorm so I don't have much room around the tank (except behind it).

    Why yes Sean, mine is not seen, was very inexpensive, and thus far has worked flawlessly.
    As the water level rises in my sump, it pushes up extremely hard on the valve, lots of bouyancy, large float, etc.

    Sorry if I missed it, but I didn't see where you said how big your DT is?

    2 gallons? I was putting 2-3g per day manually in my DT before I hooked up my ATO.

    Todd, this is not my thread (sorry to the OP), but I have a 10g tank without a sump. I don't have an RODI unit (tank will be in a college dorm). I will likely go with he gravity-fed ATO setup as seen on the first post of this thread.
