i would feed maybe two times a week depending on your lighting. im hoping your tank was very well established before adding it and they need at least t5 lighting. along with nearly impeccable water conditions like most anemones.

    Congratulations.

    Common Tips.

    Watch for wandering into pumps/heaters/overflows.
The anemone will tend to wander for awhile when acclimating.
If water parameters/flow and lighting are to it's liking it should foot directly to the LR and crevices of the LR.
It's common for BTA to deflate and looking completely withered for a few hours and to expel waste in the form of brownish discharge.
A stressed and dying anemone may/will have a gaping oral opening you may be able to see the mesenterial filaments. A detached anemone is a very stressed anemone. Bacterial infections seen within the gut or foot will cause the mesenterial filaments to become exposed, a very bad sign.

Feed only small pieces of raw sea food. Large pieces may sit in the gut and rot causing bacterial infection (deadly).
If lighting is sufficient I would only feed once a week.
Watch for any expelled pieces of food that may rot and cause a decline in water quality.

    :)

    My pleasure.

It should attached within the first 24 hours. I can understand leaving the power heads off for fear of wandering, but I never have. It may very well pick up and move again once you turn them back on because it's looking for just the right flow. Flow provides O2 and removes waste. IME BTA prefer mod flow and will move towards areas of good gas exchange. The best thing you can do is cover the power heads with either a DYI cover as member MoJoe has made or use knee high panty hose.

    :)

So just let it float around in the tank?

No decrease the flow and allow it to attach to the rock or place it in an area of low flow and it will attach and move.

    No floating is bad. :)

I would be wary of leaving the power heads off for too long but I do not know what type of flow you have. As long as you have decent flow and surface agitation without the power head or head you should be ok. If not you run the risk of decreased available O2 especially at night.

ok I do see the arms moving so there is a little flow where it is and it has open up a little now so i think in a bit i will turn the powerheads back on and see what happens
